Avalanche Brook Design LLC (the “Company”) is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. Our Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our App.For purposes of this Agreement, “App” refers to the Message Posted app, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company.
“You” refers to you, as a user of our App.
By using our App, you accept our Privacy Policy and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.I. INFORMATION WE COLLECTWe collect “Personal Information” and “Non-Personal Information.” Personal Information includes your email address (Apple ID), email addresses (Apple IDs) of your Contacts, voice recordings (Messages), dates and times when Messages were created, geographic locations (Places) that you select for the delivery of your voice Messages. Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as an anonymous link that is used by the App to facilitate sharing of Places and Messages between users.To post and receive Messages your device must be signed into your iCloud account and the App granted access to Contacts, device microphone and location. To deliver Messages posted for you by other users the App uses device Location Service and notifications.Children’s PrivacyThe App is not directed to anyone under the age of 17. The App does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 17. If you believe we have collected such information, please open Settings on the user's device, select the account, iCloud, Manage Account Storage, Message Posted and perform the “Delete Data…” action, then delete the App from the user’s device.II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATIONPersonal Information:We do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties. We do share Personal Information with Apple Inc., the provider of the iCloud service to us.Your Personal Information is stored by the Apple iCloud service using strong encryption methods in an area that is private to your account. We not have access to your Personal Information. When posting a Message, you share with the recipient your e-mail address (Apple ID), the Place where the Message is posted, the voice recording, and the date/time when the Message was created.Non-Personal Information:Anonymous links are used by the App to facilitate sharing of Places and Messages between the users. We also use aggregated Non-Personal Information, such as in-app purchase trends in order to analyze use patterns of the App. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion.In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. If our information practices change at any time in the future, we will post the policy changes to the Company web site so that you may opt out of the new information practices by deleting your Personal Information collected by the App and deleting the App. To delete your Personal Information collected by the App, please open Settings on your device, select the account, iCloud, Manage Account Storage, Message Posted and perform the “Delete Data…” action. We suggest that you check the Company web site periodically if you are concerned about how your information is used.III. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATIONYour Personal Information is stored by the Apple iCloud service using strong encryption methods in an area that is private to your account. We do not have access to your Personal Information.Your iCloud account is protected by your account password and we urge you to take steps to keep your Personal Information safe by not disclosing your password. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach. By using our App, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.IV. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICYThe Company reserves the right to change this policy at any time. You should periodically check the Company web site and this privacy page for updates.V.
